Fire Safety Level 2
Fire safety is essential for all staff to protect lives and businesses alike. This course will provide a basic understanding of fire, common causes and how to reduce the risk of fires starting, how to perform basic fire risk assessments and the role of a fire warden.
Fire Safety is a 1 day, level 2 qualification. This course is aimed at general staff and those with enhanced fire safety responsibilities.
Fire can have devastating effects of fires in the workplace in terms of lives lost, injuries, damage to property and the environment, and to business continuity.
Good understanding of fire safety within employee groups is the best form of fire prevention, and indeed it is evidenced that most fires are preventable.
The importance of fire safety in the workplace is underpinned by health and safety legislation that places a duty on employers to establish policies and procedures and ensure their employees receive appropriate training.
This course is designed for employees who want to develop their basic fire safety awareness in order to assist their employer by undertaking more specific fire safety roles in the workplace to manage fire risk (e.g. as fire wardens/marshals/stewards etc.)
