Immediate Management of Anaphylaxis
Anaphylaxis is a serious and potentially life-threatening reaction to an allergen that affects many people of all ages.
The Immediate Management of Anaphylaxis is a 1-day course that can be certificated with a non-regulated MVA Training certificate or certificated with the Ofqual regulated FAA Level 3 Award in Immediate Management of Anaphylaxis (RQF). This course is ideal for those who have, or care for those with allergies and may experience severe reactions.
An Anaphylactic shock, or anaphylaxis, is a life-threatening, serious allergic reaction to an allergen such as food substances or insect stings. If it is not treated appropriately, it may cause death.
When administering a medication, it is important to recognise and differentiate between allergic reactions and the potentially life-threatening anaphylactic reactions immediately. It is also essential to determine whether the individual has had an allergic or anaphylactic response to the medication in the past or prior to administration.
This training is for qualified First Aiders and Emergency First Aiders to enable them to recognise and treat anaphylaxis safely and effectively.
Our Immediate Management of Anaphylaxis course is approved, so you can be certain that the quality of training and first aiders in your organisation are of the standard you need.
